The Need of Science Instruments in the "Third World" countries

The lack of science instruments in practically every school in the Third World Countries, it may be attributed to our complete dependence on foreign suppliers; until very recently. Instruments made in Europe, America and Japan, demand very high prices which the average private school cannot afford. Public school too, despite government funding, get only a trickle of these apparatuses which often are used not for experiment but only for display. The need for more science apparatuses cannot be overemphasized. Apparatuses are a must in every science class. It is said that for science to be learned, it must be experienced; there must be adequate apparatuses to experiment with. Gone to the past are the years when students are satisfied with easy and sure to work “blackboard experiments”. The students of today are no longer satisfied with learning science straight from the books, manuals or magazines. They want an interactive approach in the study of science. With this dilemma we pioneered and lead in the design, construction and supply of locally manufactured science apparatuses, instruments and other educational materials for schools, colleges and universities. To provide teachers and students the materials they need to conduct their scientific experiments; somehow, it may result in a considerable decrease if not a complete cut-off of the importation of these equipments. There is a great market deal of opportunity in this kind of business, a rare and not yet exploited, unsaturated business. However which can give higher job opportunities, provide employment, increased income, a higher standard of living, and can help the government in the form of taxes.
